Madurai is famous for its temples built by Pandyan and Madurai Nayak kings in the Dravidian style of architecture. It is also one of India’s most outstanding Hindu pilgrimage centres. To escape the crowds, visit Vivekanandapuram (the only peaceful area in Kanyakumari) maintained by the Ramakrishna Mission.
Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple - this temple situated near the sea on the eastern side of the island is renowned for its magnificent prakaras or corridors with massive sculptured pillars on either side. The longest corridor in the world is here and it is 197 metres long from East to West and is 133 metres wide from South-North. The temple has a Gopuram 38.4 metres tall. Different rulers built the temple as it stands today, at different periods from the 12th century A.D.

To escape the crowds, visit Vivekanandapuram (the only peaceful area in Kanyakumari) maintained by the Ramakrishna Mission. It has its own lodging and boarding arrangements. If you'd like to see the sunset or sunrise, it is recommended that you see it from the beach at Vivekanandapuram. The other popular places are the Kanyakumari Devi temple, Vivekananda Rock, and the Thiruvalluvar Statue. It is not recommended that you visit Kanyakumari in December-January; the crowds are at its peak during these months.
The temple of Goddess Kumari is rather small by South Indian standards, but comes with the usual ingredients of Pujaris (Hindu Priests), Poojas, Kumkums, and Prasad (sweet offerings made to the Gods). All men are supposed to enter the temple with bare torsos as it deemed to be a mark of respect to the Devi. You should be careful about the touts in the temple.

DAY 01 : MADURAI-RAMESHWARAM (172.0 KM) 3 HRS
Assemble at KIAL Bangalore Airport, Bengaluru. Departure from Bengaluru , arrive Madurai. Upon arrival proceed to Breakfast then visit the famous Madurai Meenakshi Temple. After darshan proceed to Rameshwaram (172 kms, 2 hrs 48 mins) enroute have lunch,arrive at Rameshwaram check into the hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY02: RAMESWARAM- KANYAKUMARI (310 KM)
Early morning have Darshan and Holy bath at Ramanatha Temple which is one of the 12 jyotirlingas, Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple is the place where Lord Rama is said to have worshipped Lord Shiva. It is known for its high religious importance, associated with the Hindu sacred epic Ramayana and captivating architecture. This temple has 22 Theertham as well. According to belief, bathing in these Theertham can liberate a devotee from his or her sins. Back to hotel have Breakfast then check out from the hotel to Visit Dhanushkoti, the ruin city. Later proceed to Kanyakumari (310 kms, 5 hrs 32 mins) enroute have lunch then drive to kanyakumari upon arrival check into the hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.
Dress Code : Rameswaram temple dress code Men need to wear dhoti, women need to wear sari to enter the temple.
DAY03: KANYAKUMARI -TRIVANDRUM (95.0 KM)
Early Morning sunrise view and have breakfast visit Kanyakumari Amman temple and Vivekananda Rock Memorial. Check out from hotel and proceed to Trivandrum (95 kms 2 hrs 40 mins) enroute have lunch and drive to kanyakumari . Upon arrival Check into the hotel dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
DAY04: TRIVANDRUM
Early morning after breakfast visit Sri Ananthapadmanabha Temple. Napier Museum. Back to hotel and Check out from hotel and proceed to lunch later free for shopping then drop to Airport for your onward journey to Bengaluru.
